We are seeking original work from artists addressing community themes within their art. This is an opportunity for people to represent themselves and their communities. $1000 each will be awarded to our People’s Choice Award, Youth Award, and Adult Award winners. We’re looking for artwork that deals with these questions and phrases surrounding our collective experience of a global pandemic:

How does a common experience like a pandemic unite us?

What does reunion look like to you?

How do communities face challenges together?

Who is in your community and how do you care for them?

Key words/phrases to consider: community, tradition, meal sharing, reunion, coming together, caring, healing, sharing, our journey, uniting, strength, neighbor, family.

Each artist may submit one work for consideration. The contest will be judged by a jury of local artists and community leaders. There will be three awards given at the completion of the contest: an Adult Award, a Youth Award, and a People’s Choice Award.
