Allison McKeen at The Commons

Our new pop-up gallery at The Commons in Belfast, Maine, opens it’s first show Friday, August 22nd with quilted paintings by Allison McKeen. Allison is a self taught interdisciplinary artist living and working in Gardiner, Maine. Her quilted paintings make a visual language of color and form out of fabric scraps and fragments. These sewn paintings bridge practices of quilting and drawing, making lines and shapes of the diverse textures and colors of found fabric.

Works will be available online, in person most weekdays 11am - 4pm, and weekends by appointment.
